What's the difference between fret sanding and fret polishing?

Sanding (up to ~1000 grit) removes oxidation and scratches — it leaves frets clean but matte. Polishing continues the grit progression up to 8000, where frets get a mirror finish that reduces friction on bends and vibrato. The FRTLZR® Premium kit covers the entire range in one system, so you sand and polish with the same tool.

What frets can I use this polishing system on?
